Jackfruit Kebab

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cubed ripe jackfruit

  • 1 onion, cut into chunks

  • 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks

  • 2 tbsp yogurt

  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

  • 1 tsp garam masala

  • 1 tsp cumin powder

  • 1/2 tsp chili powder

  • Salt to taste

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water

Method:

  1. In a bowl, mix together the jackfruit, onion, bell pepper, yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, cumin powder, chili powder and salt.

  2. Cover and marinate for 30 minutes.

  3. Thread the marinated jackfruit and veggies onto the soaked wooden skewers.

  4. Grill or broil the jackfruit kebabs for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until charred and cooked through.

  5. Squeeze lemon juice over the hot kebabs before serving.
